Sony KDL-46XBR9 Review
Sony KDL-46XBR9 Review: The Sony KDL-46BR9 is the latest high end LCD HDTV from Sony’s XBR9 series. As with any Sony TV with the XBR label, this 46″ LCD TV features the best television technologies available today. With a full HD 1080p resolution and a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 1000000:1, superb picture quality is guaranteed. A wider color gamut and sharp image detail is also possible with the cold cathode fluorescent backlighting technology and Sony’s new BRAVIA 3 Video Processing Engine. The Sony KDL-46BR9 improves on its other high-end predecessors by quadrupling its refresh rate to an incredible 240 Hz Motion Flow technology. Combined with 24p True Cinema film playback, which allows for original format rendering of Blu-ray discs and similar HD formats, watching movies on this LCD TV is a totally mind-blowing cinematic experience. Sony brings the Internet to the television realm by incorporating Yahoo! widgets into the XBR9 through an Ethernet connection. These widgets allow users to personalize their home viewing by adding real time information like weather reports, stock updates, business news, online videos, Flickr images, and much more. Another web feature is the Internet-powered TV Guide and Bravia Link which lets users access the Internet on a 46″ LCD screen. Samsung UNB8000 Review
Samsung UNB8000 Review: The year 2008 was the advent and rise of LED LCD TVs. It is also the year where top brands were attempting to create a cut in the edge LCD technology that will best capture the eyes of the odds and of the gadget enthusiasts. The year 2009 is a major year for manufacturers as they mass market their HDTV technology. Samsung had released their Series 6 this year with the UNB8000 as the latest addition to the selection. The Samsung UNB8000 is no more than 1.2 inches thick and is 0.7-inch thinner than their 2008 series. Samsung’s LED TV series 8 series has been awarded the “Innovations Design & Engineering Award” on that same year that it was released. Several critics say that this model boasts extensive features with Yahoo widgets, good dejudder processing, network sharing, more energy efficient, and an ultra thin sleek style. The model’s “ultra clear” panel is specially designed to increase color contrast and reduce reflection. It also has a new internet TV platform that will give you access to Yahoo widgets and deliver content services from Yahoo news, Flickr, USA today, Youtube, Showtime, Yahoo Weather updates and many more.
